Illustrations inspired by the cosmovision of ancient Mesoamericans—their understanding of the Universe, life, the world we live in, nature, human phenomena, and how they’re interrelated.

I gravitate towards their emphasis on the deep connection between human kind and the natural world. My illustration style is influenced by the pictographic systems found in the ancient Mexican manuscripts (commonly referred to as codices), especially those from the Borgia group and the Mixteca-Puebla style.

I’ve been deeply influenced by ancient Mexican manuscripts such as the Codex Borgia (available here as a free download.)
